Part of me wonders if I had come out before having children would I have gone your route - digging into everything and doing everything? Odds are yes. But by waiting for my parents to die, having near 100% support, suddenly perfection became optional. My time & energy dedicated to kids, for me workouts and diet are 90% of the work. Heck, when I put a real effort in my voice can pass now (it did yesterday, woohoo). Some stuff is possible for me, lip is tempting for example, and good skin care makes a ton of sense But FFS I cant imagine for example.
Sad you had that issue that required surgery I keep winning the lottery biologically here Always important to see where we get dumb luck in life We both got screwed by being transgender - makes life a lot harder, but has let me meet a lot of good people. Always look on the bright side of life.

Perfection became optional is the whole thing, isn't it. I'm not there yet. And congratulations on the voice, that one's earned rather than bought.
