Exactly this. When it comes down to it, everything meaningful in life is just priorities, sequencing, constraints, and limited time. I’ve never really understood why people think different domains require fundamentally different tools.

I didn’t stand up every morning and shout at myself for failing the sprint, mind you. No stand-ups, no t-shirt sizing, no Jira tickets for my own body. Just the same basic discipline on a kanban board.

This is such a powerful piece. The Ironman comparison really nails something most ppl miss about big transitions. I remember finishing a multi-year project once and feeling that same weird flatnes instead of relief. The part about using Kanban boards for both is kinda brilliant tbh, because it shows how mission-based psychology doesn't care about thedomain.
