I was thinking yesterday, and people say it over and over - I didn't change, I've always been this way, and you've always known me. It's just now my projection matches what's inside. We all have a perception of ourselves and everyone has their own perception of us and none of them are the same. Maybe it is all solipsism :p
The projection matching what's inside is the bit nobody can hear when you say it, because the old version of you was doing a job for them, and you've just made off with it.
Solipsism might be overselling it. I'd settle for everyone walking round with a slightly out of date copy.
